  1. Ranking/Grade system for Citizenship

    Create a ranking/grade system that would allow users to easily compare two users "citizenship" in terms of historical disciplinary measures. No details on specific penalties need to be shared. Just compare "jail" time. There is a perception that some users get off "scott" free, which this ranking would help validate/refute.

  2. List of who has posted the most on CB

    Again, showing the stats of who has the most posts on CB would be a cool way to honor long time posters, and give motivation for newer ones.

  4. A counter on your profile page for total numbers of thumbs up, thumbs down, POTD, etc.

    This would be awesome to see how many of these you have in total.

  5. Add the ability to search for 'funny' posts.

    Aside from the stimulating intellectual conversation on the board, I like the junior high humor that is available here. Add search criteria to search for posts that received at least 'X' number of smiley faces in a given date range.

    Don't display your cougarboard ID just put account settings. New open collaborative work enviorments allow co workers to know my CB Name/ID!

  7. Create our own FamilySearch Indexing Group on their new web based indexing site

    Using this site anyone can set up an indexing group. So I was thinking it would be a good idea to set up a "BYU Fans" or just "CougarBoard" group.

  9. Enhance chat to have Twitch-like qualities for gameday

    Twitch is an Amazon platform for people to watch other people play video games and "chat" with everyone else watching at the same time. As cringy as that is, you replace the "video game" part with "BYU game" and it works. You could even monetize it similarly to how Twitch monetizes it (donors and/or subscribers have access to various things like icons that represent something).

    The sarcasm/humor of this board seems like it would play well with the features and flow.

  10. Have POTD per category - or at least some of the more popular categories.

    Rather than just having one POTD for everything. Have a POTD for multiple categories. For example - have POTD for Football or news or politics, etc. It doesn't need to be a POTD for each category, but some of the most popular categories.

  12. Make a Highlight video section

    Maybe where the opponent boards are listed or somewhere up top where we can get a drop down menu of the teams we played with highlight videos attached.
    We have members that make awesome highlight videos, and it would be great for the off season or even to go back a year or two and get the highlight video from a specific game that was made by one of our members.

  13. Add the ability to roll over and/or click on donor icons enlarged view of them

    Create capability of rolling over donor icon and have it enlarge like subject category icons do now and/or enable the ability to click on a donor's icon and have it open the image file used to create the icon. Some icons are difficult to see and appreciate. This would allow for an even deeper understanding of board members.

  14. Get rid of the thumbs down button

    To promote more positivity, do away with the thumbs down button, just like Twitter and FB don't have a thumbs down button, I'd suggest the same, that way it keeps things more positive. And if you don't like something or what a particular person posts, you can mute or block them, just like Twitter. Also, add a sympathy button, like FB is going to implement in the future, so when someone posts their dad died, or something legitimately sad or touching, there's a button for that of where people can show their support and love.   16. Have a separate category just for Humor

    Often I have little things of humor that I want to share. I don't always know what category to use. By having a category just for Humor (jokes, stories, etc.) we could more easily come to CB for a pick-me-up with a joke or humorous anecdote/story.

  17. eliminate the visibility of thumbs up/down, POTD, etc on our posts from people we've ignored.

    When we've ignored someone it's for a reason. Let's make them totally invisible to us.

  18. Get out of Jail Free

    I think the new premium membership should come with a "Get Out of Jail Free" card, available once annually. It would not permit the offending post to remain on the Board, but allow the poster a bit of discretion as to when to fight a ban.

  19. FEATURE REQUEST: Public "flogging" of trolls

    Instead of deleting troll posts, sticky them to the top of the front page for a public "flogging." The troll thread will remain open for a certain period of time during which certain rules will be suspended in the thread (personal attacks on the OP, profanity). At the end of the flogging the thread will be emailed to the OP's registered email and the thread will be deleted.

  20. Can we get cougarboard to follow several players, ex players, coaches and media members

    Then allow users to choose which tweeters show up in the cougarboard feed similar to how we can choose which categories are viewed?
